Desuperheaters for Corrugated and Packaging Plants

The SPAD is a small-pipe, fixed-nozzle spray-ring attemperator that clamps between two steam pipe flanges. The LPD is a large-pipe, probe-type desuperheater with a variable-nozzle, fully actuated control valve and 90-degree flanged insertion. A desuperheater introduces water into a steam line so the water absorbs heat and conditions the steam. SPAD and Steam Attemperator models use a fixed spray-ring design fed by a separate temperature control valve, while the LPD uses a variable-nozzle, fully actuated control valve and desuperheater assembly.
